Emmel stone house
A few hundred meters from the north coast of Fur, lies Emmelstenhus, a converted fish farm, which was typical of the area in the early 20th century.
At that time, the residents were mainly feeding on fishing off the north coast, but at the same time had a small farm with a cow, some sheep and a few pigs and chickens, which could cover the family's consumption.
In 1990, the original buildings were demolished and two new ones erected. The farmhouse is equipped with accommodation and accommodation, while the side building has a meeting or teaching room. Emmelstenhus is a part of the Central Jutland Nature Agency, and it is leased to nature associations and educational institutions for meetings and teaching.
